dc.description.abstract	In this report the formulation of an iterative method called successive over relaxation (SOR) in solving some systems of linear equations AX= b has been discussed. So there is discussion on some theorems which helps us to determine the choice of the optimal relaxation P_arameter, Wapt' which accelerates the rate of convergence in the iteration process.
