The purpose of this study was to investigate the challenges and opportunities of North Shoa
Debre Biran kenema football club
to promote to the Ethiopian premier league. The study include
2 Zone sport office expert,
5 Technique committee, 1 North shoa administrative officer, 1 Mayor
of Debre Birhan, 5 Previous Players, 25 Players, 1 Coach and 30 supporters. A descriptive
survey study
is used to carry out this research five instruments such as questionnaire, interview,
observation, pre and post test, and document analysis were used
to gather the data. The
descriptive analysis ofthe data was analyzed by using both qualitative and quantitative methods,
such
as. The result of the study clearly showed that to overcome these challenges, the following
recommendations have been forwarded: The study examines the possible challenges Debere
Berhan kenema football club
to promote to the Ethiopian premier league. The study could
contribute
to a body of knowledge about factor for football clubs to be qualified in the national
league, which seems
to be lacking presently. Low performance ofthe club has skewed effort and
attention on improving the performance
of the club. The foot ball clubs were uncritically
considered the source
of players for the national team of Ethiopian. However it seemed that
little thought was given in determining the resources and strategies that help the club.
Interestingly the study pointed out that challenges on organizational set
up, lack of community
participation, lack
offinance, lack ofapplying training principles in the training session, lack of
support from sport experts and technique committees and problems on playing away games are
the major challenges affecting Deber-berahn kenema football club
to promote to Ethiopian
premier league.
