his study conducted for the ultimate objective to the assessment oftraining implementation
and coaches contribution for males under-17 youth football projects
efftctiveness at west
gojjam zone
.. Nine youth football projects were selected, from 12 west Gojjam zone wereda
youth football projects including Mecha, South Achefer, Burea Zurea, Burea ketema,
Wenberima. Jabitehinan, Finoteselam, Kuarit, and Degadamot Wereda. Thus, the subjects
in
the study were 90 players, 9 coaches, and 9 wereda sport administrative office workers and
one zonal youth project coordinators that were select by simple random sampling method and
purposive sampling method.
In this study, descriptive survey method was employe. To collect
available data the researcher used Questionnaire interview, document analysis and
observation.
The data gathered through questionnaires were analyze by using quantitative
analysis through percentage and the data gathered by interview, document analysis and
observation were analyzed through descriptive statements form
in qualitative way. The major
findings
of this study generalize as; there was inappropriate training implementations and
poor management
ofthe projects throughout youth football projects. This includes allocating
non-licensed coaches
for the projects in relation with recruiting problems, lack ofcoaches'
professional ethics and commitment for football profession and their trainees.
In addition,
lack
of supportive and evaluative communication between the youth football projects and
responsible youth football project administrative bodies had identified
in the findings.
Finally, lack
oforganized document that indicates the project status, planning problem and
wrong leader ship quality in training implementation and losing some major part
of the
training session's part was assess in the findings
of this research. Generally, there was a
problem
to implement effective trainings for youth trainees at west Gojjam zone under 17
projects againest
to the intended outcame ofthis program.
