dc.description.abstract Steady incompressible micropolar fluid in a two - dimensional uniform channel with a stenosis under the influence of magnetic field has been investigated. Assuming the stenosis to be mild, the flow equations have been solved using slip condition and the expressions for the resistance to flow and the shear stress have been derived. The effects of various parameters on these flow variables have been studied. It is found that the resistance to. flow as well as the shear stress increases the height of the stenosis and decrease with micropolar parameter. The effects of other parameters on resistance to flow and the sheer stress also have been considered. KEYWORDS:- stenosis, flow resistance, shear stress, slip conditions, micropolar iv I fluid, magnetic field en_US
