dc.description.abstract In this study, Bike water distribution system of existing water supply system was assessed. The main objective of this study is to assess the existing water supply system, investigate water delivery efficiency and design, operation, and maintenance of existing water supply and newly proposed of Bike, Water GEMs software was used as tool to model water distribution system analysis. Hydraulic network of the study area is simulated using Bentley water GEMS update2 by using the data on the urban personal geo database of the town. The hydraulic simulation in the existing network system to satisfy the reliability of hydraulic parameters such as the pressure at a junction, head loss m/km at each pipe material and flow of water were modelled. The model was calibrated according to the observed pressure in twenty-one junctions. The result showed that the average of existing water supply coverage of 2021,2022 and 2023 was 57% which is still low coverage accordingly, MoWR requirement 40l/p/d as GTP-II. In addition to this water demand and supply of Bike town were not well-balanced. The residents of a town used daily water 22.8 l/day for different domestic activities with the billed water amount of 21% of production so that 36.3% of water is considered to be non-revenue (NRW) but both consumed and none-consumed, and also the apparent losses and real losses of the town was 20% and 16.3% respectively. The other observed problem in Bike is pipe leakage in the water distribution network during which the town water utilities do not have an instantaneous come back for protection. In this study, the hydraulic inefficiency in the existing water system to serve the Bike town has been observed. Key words: Water distribution system modelling, Hydraulic performance, investigate existing water supply coverage. en_US
