dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of strength training combined with plyometric training on some selected physical fitness qualities and technical skills among Adet U-17 volleyball project players. The study employed pre test post test Experimental research design. 26 male volleyball players of Adet with the age of (EG=16.08±0.760, CG =16.00±0.707) were randomly assigned into 2 equal groups. Both the experimental group (EG, n = 13) and control group (CG, n = 13) participated in the regular volleyball training, but only EG performed additional combined strength and plyometric training for eight weeks, with 3 sessions per week, each lasting 40 to 60 minutes. Subjects were measured on, explosive power, 30m sprint time, over arm passing and over arm service on two occasions first before administration of the training as pre-test and after eight weeks of the training as post-test. The data collected from the study subject was analyzed using SPSS version 26 software by paired t-test with level of significant 0.05. The results showed that combined strength and plyometric training significantly improved explosive power, over arm pass, and over arm serve in EG at (p<0.05). Similarly, sprint time was significantly reduced (p<0.05). But no significant differences were found in all of the variables in CG (p>0.05). Based on this finding, it can be concluded that eight weeks combined strength and plyometric training has positive effect on improvement of volleyball skill performance and physical fitness variables of volleyball players. Therefore, this type of training method is suggested to volleyball players and coaches for improving physical fitness and performance skill. en_US
