dc.description.abstract A simple, versatile and selective cyclic voltammetry method for simultaneous determination of paracetamol and amoxicillin on poly (DHRPCO)/GCE has been developed. The good potential separation between the oxidation peak potentials of both drugs present in mixture was found. The effect of supporting electrolyte, pH and scan rate on voltammetric response of both drugs was studied to select the optimum experimental conditions. The optimal conditions for quantitative simultaneous determination were obtained in phosphate buffer solution at pH 6.5. The oxidation peak of paracetamol and amoxicillin showed a systematic increase in peak currents with increase of their concentration. The calibration curve for the simultaneous determination of amoxicillin and paracetamol exhibited the good linear response with in concentration range 0.01-300µM for both drugs. The detection limit is 2.3x10-8M for amoxicillin and 1.16x10-8M for paracetamol. The method proved the good sensitivity, repeatability and selectivity when influence of interferents like caffeine and ampicillin were negligible.
