Effective supply chain performance has become a potentially valuable way of getting a
competitive advantage through improving supply chain and organizational performance.
Now a day‘s competition is among supply chains, no longer between organizations. This
research conceptualizes and develops the building blocks of supply chain management
strategy (supplier partnership strategy, customer service strategy, information sharing
strategy, manufacturing strategy, and channel strategy) and analyzes the effects of supply
chain management strategy on organizational performance and supply chain
performance. The data for the analysis was collected with the help of questionnaires from
employees of Addis Modjo Edible Oil Complex S.C. The collected data have been
summarized using the descriptive analysis method, and then the relationships proposed in
the framework were verified using Pearson correlation, and the causal relations were
analyzed using regression analysis. From the result of the analysis, it is concluded that
there is a weak and positive relationship between supply chain management strategy,
supply chain performance, and organizational performance. Moreover, supply chain
management strategy has no significant influence on supply chain performance or
organizational performance. Moreover, supply chain performance has no also influence
on organizational performance. Therefore, in order to attain improvement in market share
and profitability in the long run through improving organizational performance, it is
better for the organization to implement the proposed SCOR model and give due
emphasis to actualize Supply chain management strategy integration of the supply chain
and measures of supply chain performance. |
