| dc.description.abstract | To comply with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s requirements, all certified airports were required to implement and operate a Safety Management System (SMS) from November 2005. This study is conducted to examine the safety management system performances in the case of Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. To achieve the objectives of this study the researcher applied a survey research design. The study used a deductive research strategy to test the hypotheses and theories. Standardized questionnaires were prepared for required data collection and the target populations are the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport the researcher takes the working population at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport that is working in head office Addis Ababa. For the analysis purpose, statistical package for social science (SPSS) software version 21 was used. According to the federal aviation administration (2019), there are four factors that determine the safety management system :( i.e., Safety Policy, Safety Promotion, Safety Risk Management, and Safety Assurance). Finally, multiple linear regression analysis used as the data consist of the single dependent variable, and multiple independent variables to examine the safety management system performance in Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and the study concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between safety policy, safety promotion, safety risk management, safety assurance, and Safety management system performance in Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. | en_US |
