dc.description.abstract This research describes the design and development of a multi-shelf inclined solar cooker and dryer (ISCAD) with three reflectors and manufactured from locally available materials. The box cooker has outer box dimensions, the front and rear surfaces of which are beveled at 45 ° with a horizontal incline and measure a size of 75 × 62 cm and 71 × 62 cm respectively with a width of 27 cm was fabricated. It was carried out under open environmental climate conditions for domestic use. The incident light rays in the direction of the booster mirror box geometry concentrate the glazed glass surface on the top and make it easier to capture energy inside the oven and dryer. The three-side facing reflector is used to improve performance in both cooking and drying, especially in the winter season. First, the solar cooker was tested under no-load conditions with and without a reflector, then the cooker was filled with different amounts of water. one and two litters along with the suitable quantity of cooking food. The solar radiation and temperatures of the reflector, the absorber plate, the pot and the ambient were recorded. The solar radiation and temperatures of the reflector, pot and surroundings were recorded. The concentrate cooker performance parameters, namely optical efficiency (F’η0), were obtained. The experimental results were the thermal efficiency of the solar dryer 20.6% and the solar cooker 41.7%. Key words: Solar dryer, solar cooker, reflector, glazing glass, booster mirror en_US
