Introduction: Early diagnosis and prompt treatment of cases is the main strategy in controlling malaria
in Ethiopia. Both capillary and venous blood has been equally used as sources of blood sample for the
diagnosis of malaria. However, owing to the decreasing parasitemia level because of existing control
activities, selecting a sample source where parasites are more concentrated is indispensable approach to
maximize malaria case detection rate |
