dc.description.abstract Background: Streptococcus agalactiae also called Group B Streptococci (GBS) is the leading cause of early onset neonatal sepsis, pneumonia and meningitis. However, there is no screening practice of pregnant women for the recto-vaginal colonization of GBS and data on the vertical transmission of GBS and its antibiotic susceptibility profiles are scarce in Ethiopia. en_US
