| dc.description.abstract | Background: Intestinal parasites and Schistosoma mansoni infections adversely affect the health of humans in many parts of the world especially in sub-Saharan Africa countries including Ethiopia. Water, sanitation and hygiene and water based activities like swimming and fishing believed to increase the risk of intestinal parasites and Schistosoma mansoni infection. Fishermen who spend most of their time in the water bodies are supposed to be at high risk of intestinal parasite infection and schistosomiasis. However, the magnitude of these parasites infections and their determinant factors are not well addressed. | en_US |
