dc.description.abstract In this project, homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and parameterized perturbation method (PPM) are used to solve nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Using homotopy perturbation and parameterized perturbation methods, it is possible to find the exact or approximate solution of the problem. This project compares the HPM and PPM in order to solve the equations of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. A comparative study between the HPM and PPM is presented in this work. The validity of the problem nonlinear ordinary differential equation solutions is verified by the numerical results. The achieved results reveal that the HPM and PPM are very effective, convenient and quite accurate to nonlinear ordinary differential equations. These methods can be easily extended to other strongly nonlinear oscillators and can be found widely applicable in engineering and science. en_US
