dc.description.abstract On the recent global competitive trades, adoptions of appropriate technology is an important determinant for the achievements of the stated objective of organizations. However, there has not been a research which focused on the appropriateness of aluminum technology adoptions in Ethiopia and majority of prior studies were focused on the agricultural technology adoptions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the adoptions of aluminum technology in Ethiopia by keeping its appropriateness. In this study a surveying type of primary data collection, a report & manual types of secondary data collection methods was used to collect data from the case companies. Collected data were analyzed by using an SPSS descriptive type of statistics. From the descriptive statistics, found that the internal consistency of the data is good with the values of Cronbach‟s Alpha above the expected acceptable ranges. Finding of the study shows that, the adoptions of aluminum technology in Ethiopia is at the early adoption stages, due to the in-appropriate use of technology adoption strategies. Further findings of the study shows that factors like labor availability, functional performance of the technology and high demand rate were a „infulential successive factors‟ for adoption of the aluminium technology in Ethiopia. Findings of the study related to the competitive advantage factors shown that, adopting of aluminum technology is not in the line of expected demands needed and it had an importance of „somewhat good‟postions. Finally, an appropriate technology adoption general model which is preferable for the aluminum sector is developed by using an appropriateness index methods. From the model found that, the higher the appoprirate index computed shows the more effcetive factor either successively or barrierly for adoptions of aluminum technology in the case of Ethiopia. In other case the lower AI computed value had insignificant effect on the adoptions of aluminum technology. The MS analysis method used to rank the effects of selected factors on the adoptions, from the analysis shows that, the first ranking level had significant effect in adoption of aluminum technology in Ethiopia and vice versa. Model fitness is analyzed according to fit statistics criteria like R-square and others, interpreted that the largest R-square value indicates the best fitness of the model and the model is fully described by the factors, thus the model is fulfilled fitness criteria‟s and the average R-square values is above 80 % . en_US
