The disposal of waste tires continues to raise an environmental concern in the world. The dumping of a waste tire is a serious environmental problem typically in urban areas of Ethiopia. The porous concrete pavement is the effective means to the growing environment. A pervious concrete mixture consists little or no fine aggregate, creating a substantial void content. In particular, the concrete obtained by adding steel fibers shows a good mechanical enhancement of the brittle medium; as an importance, it appears to be a talented application for both structural and non-structural systems. This study investigate the mechanical properties of porous concrete produced using waste tire steel fiber basically focusing on compressive strength, permeability, porosity, density and flexural strength. Different porous concrete cubes, cylinders and beams are casted with varying mixing proportions of SF 1, 1.5 and 2% adding by its mass. The concrete specimens are cured in a laboratory condition and compressive strength of 7 and 28 days, flexural strength, permeability, void content and hardened densities of 28 days are recorded. The result has shown that, the compressive strength, flexural strength and hardened density of porous concrete have increased with an increase in the percentage of steel fiber, and permeability and void content decreased with an increase in percentage for both 40mm and 60mm of steel fiber. The test result indicates that the compressive strength has increased by 11.94% & 17.4% and the flexural strength by 44,4% & 64.14% at the highest dosage of 2% by mass of concrete at the 28th day 40mm & 60mm length of steel fiber with respect to the control mix in that order.
