dc.description.abstract In this study the compressive strength results of samples, which have been taken from concrete produced in-situ mix concrete facilities in Amahra regional state and its surroundings have been statistically evaluated. In-situ mix concrete from results of three concrete laboratories located in Bahir Dar and from one concrete mix plant has been evaluated separately for the years (2011-16), and the results have been discussed according to their reliability parameters given by ACI (American Concrete Institution) and criteria of EBCS Standard with respect to concrete quality. To this and a concrete grade of C20, C25, C30, C35 and C40 cubic concrete 28 day compressive strength test result has been evaluated and the results have been examined with respect to their compliance with EBCS and ACI criteria’s. By evaluating the available data it has been tried to examine the quality and reliability of concrete produced. This study was conducted to investigate the reliability of the concrete compression test results using statistical analysis. There are sample concrete test data taken from one construction projects and concrete testing laboratories and simulated using the method of Monte Carlo simulation procedure for the purpose of avoiding errors arising from smaller data size. The data is collected for different concrete grades at 28 days strength. Material test data is presented in form of the cumulative distribution functions CDF plotted. In addition, using this plot the statistical parameters are determined. The most important parameters are the mean value, bias factor and the coefficient of variation. From analysis, in addition to this other factors that affect reliability of cubic compressive strength test result will be evaluated based on two factors that affect the reliability of test result. In general it was observed that the overall reliability of the concrete compressive strength test result is lack and the statistical characteristics presented in this paper will play important role in the reliability analysis of certain limit states of reinforced concrete structures. Those also represent skill level of worker and technology level of the construction industry. The analyzed data then partially compared with the similar information from Indonesia and USA to understand the different between developed and developing countries. en_US
