dc.description.abstract Improper Land tenure and property rights registration has a number of economic and societal factors in the societies; this leads society to disappoint on administration; frustration and disappointment force them to use informal way to administer and use their property and hiding information from the government that helps for fair taxation and governmental payment. In another hand, secured land and property right registration safeguard user from fraudulent and corrupted administration, improve transparency and accountability, increase customer satisfaction on governmental administration, reduce informal documentation and initiate the societies to pay tax and other payment timely as well as making all land related transaction transparent to the concerned body. In developing countries including Ethiopia corruption and fraud is the major bottleneck for government in land administration because of traditional information management and data recording system that hinder to provide a tamperproof, auditable, shared information access across organization and individuals especially in the area where transparency, accountability, corruption, and fraud is the major issue. Land administration and the landrelated transaction is one of the areas that are vulnerable to such issues and that need secured information management system. In this time, blockchain is one of the technologies that provide a tamperproof, auditable, shared and secured record keeping system in the organization and cross organization. On this research blockchain technology adopted as a solution for issues in land transaction record management: land title registration and transfer. In doing these, Hyperledger fabrics and Hyperledger composer tools used to design model. The designed model tested using mocha as unit testing and cucumber for integration testing Ubuntu 16.04 on the virtual box; finally, we tested the model on the hyperledger composer playground to test the land title registration and transfer process as designed on the model. en_US
